Terrifying about the brakes - I've had a few scrapes going down our lane during slippery conditions.
I went back in the rain to grab the photo because I hoped a few folks would appreciate it.
The brakes had been acting funny during my last visit and I didn't want her killing someone by accident. So we insisted that the car get checked before she was cleared to drive again. Full front brake replacement was needed as they were almost completely used up. Turns out her favorite mechanic retired a year ago and she just... stopped... taking the vehicle in for maintenance.
Now I worry more about potential dementia as she is starting to make poor decisions.
