My Actifit Report Card: April 6 2019 Plus some shots from the Devonport Motor show.
G'day all hope you have been well and had a great start to the weekend. I went into town for a shopping trip etc and did most of my walking doing that.
Now for some more from the recent Devonport Motor show.
This is a very well restored 1945 Ford GPW Jeep.
This Jeep has a Side valve 2.2l 4 cylinder engine driving through a 3 speed manual gearbox with a four wheel drive system.
This vehicle did military service in the Pacific campaign in against Japan in Okinawa in 1945. Then did clean up duties in Papua New Guinea. After which it was sold to the Australian Army and used until 1956. Then auctioned off to a farmer in Western Australia who later used it as part payment on a boat repair. This vehicle was found in an old abandoned boat shed in Western Australia in 2003. A underwent a three year restoration.

think jeep came from General Purpose vehicle GP .could be wrong
GPW and it stood for Government Passenger Willys.

Great stepping 💪 and fantastic jeep on your report. Looks like a big toy car, I just love the squarish shapes of jeeps. There is something unique about them😎.
