Actifit Report: May the Fourth...

Today was a busy day for us. @lordvdr's cousin got married and she was having a Star Wars themed wedding! Turns out, he isn't the only Star Wars fan in the family...

Here he is at the entrance...

The droids to his right were borrowed from our collection of standees that we have accumulated over the last 20 years. All the standees as well as that gate area are coming home with us for future use!

Darth Vader protected the cakes-

Each table was decorated/themed to match a planet in the Star Wars Universe!

Kashyyk, where the wookies come from-

Hoth, the ice planet-

Dagobah- where Yoda made his home-

Tattoine- where Vader and Luke came from and Jabba throws people into the Sarlaac Pit-

Kamino- where Boba Fett was cloned into an army-

And a bunch more whose photos didn't quite turn out...

The guestbook was a wooden Millennium Falcon plaque with a plexiglas front and tiles people could sign-

In the planter at the front of the reception hall was a nesting duck! There was a sign asking people not to bother the duck and it took us a moment to find her, she blended in very well-

After the wedding and reception we hung out and helped a little with the cleanup. Then we headed to our hotel to get changed into clothes more suitable for geocaching.

It was overcast and threatening rain but we still got a few fun ones. This one was supposed to be a tough climb but the fake birdhouse had fallen over the winter and was actually very easy to reach.

After a few more caches we called it a night and grabbed a beer and small meal at a local craft brew place.

Tomorrow we will work our way home and get some more caches along the way. :)
