My Actifit Report Card: January 9 2019 - True Tales of Strange Days?
12K on a Strange Day! 😮😎
It's the middle of the winter. Nature has died and won't be reborn for a while. The days are getting longer, it's true. But they're also getting colder still, and the warmth won't return for weeks. We're not quite yet in the DEAD of Winter.
Spring and rebirth will come around soon, as it has every year in the past and will every year in the future. But not everyone will be here to see it. Winter takes its toll.
Strange days have found us!
The Doors - Strange Days. Jim knew something about Strange People and Strange Days.
I just got back from a late night walk. The air is cool and crisp and a little windy. The stars are out but there's no moon in sight tonight. I got my number today from this walk and dancing around to all kinds of music. Some of it is quite strange!
This happened earlier, I think...
Today I arose from the living room couch, craving steak and a baked 'tater,
walked past the sleeping cat to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator.
Inside I saw a Monkey wearing a Happy New Year hat,
eating my cheese, looking happy and fat.
I asked, what are you doing and he started stating,
resting my bones from all of the skating.
I noticed he had tied a stick of butter to each of his foot/paw things,
using my left over spaghetti as strings.
I excitedly said, Please demonstrate!
(To see This, I couldn't wait!)
He jumped to the floor and skated madly across the linoleum,
butter skates sliding, but he not controlling them.
BOOM!!!
My furry friend flies face first into the oven at the end of the room!
Mister monkey was in obvious pain he could not disguise,
as tears shot furiously out of his eyes.
I said, are you crying, and he said, poutin',
No, I'm just impersonating a water fountain!
At this point, he exploded into a rainbow of Skittles, and each tiny candy
rolled randomly into its own personal kitchen cranny.
His cone shaped hat
rocketed into the living room,
bounced off 3 walls, knocked a lamp off the table with a boom,
which almost killed the cat!
Took me an hour to clean up after the disaster of my primate pal,
as I swept up skittles and cleaned cat ejecta from the carpet;
poor dear has a weak stomach
and doesn't like surprises.
