My Actifit Report Card: April 9 2019

Hey Actifitters and Steemians,

Thanks for dropping by, here is my actifit report for today, I hope you’ll enjoy reading it.

I started my day with an early morning walking and jogging, got off late so was trying to be fast about it. I think that took me 30 minutes instead of 40 to 50 minutes I usually do in the morning. Once I was home I took a shower and headed for the office using public transportation.

The office was very hot today, seems to the air conditioning is having some fault as it isn’t working optimally today. The heat wave is still raging and the little rain that fell on Sunday didn’t do much to drive it away at least for some time. The Lagos government put out a notice 5 days ago on their website as regards the issue. You can read about it on the link below:

Top of the things they want us to do are as follows:

 Have a good eating habit

 Avoid intake of caffeinated or intoxicating drinks

 Have regular baths/showers
```

If you are in a country where the heat wave is also hitting hard, those tips could be of use to you. According to the weather report doesn’t look like the heat is letting up soon.

I took a bike ride most of the way home because I couldn’t sitting closely with anyone in a bus as I was just so uncomfortable already. The first thing I did when I got home was to fill up the bathtub with cold bath water and then relax inside. Lol.

I might be forced to sleep in the bathtub if the heat situation doesn't improve. Lol

After spending about 30 minutes inside the bath for about 30 minutes I was forced out by the Mrs because dinner was served and she wasn’t going into the kitchen again to warm my food. I had rice, stew and chicken for dinner after which I went for a walk to hit my daily 10k count, once I got it I headed back home. I took a short shower this time to just keep me cool before crashing. And that’s a wrap guys, I sit outside a bit to get some cool breeze coming from the trees in my compound before hitting the sack.

My song today has to do with us humans taking care of the earth, we keep cutting down trees to make way for skyscrapers and other housing projects but we don’t take time to plant trees which helps the environment. A lot of people cast the ground in their compound with concrete without leaving room for gardening or a space to plant trees. All these are adding up to affect the weather and it is getting worst by the day because we are also polluting the environment at a faster rate. I think Micheal Jackon earth song has a good depiction of what the planet is going to look like is we don’t start making the desired changes. Hope you love it the song.
