This is the farthest I have walked so far under actifit. The City of Baguio announced that it will close Session Road to vehicles from 6:00 to 9:00 today and succeeding Sundays for experimentation. I wanted to see if they did.

However, I got there past 6:00 and they did not close it. Tomorrow will be the start of classes for some schools so the influx of students and visitors is at its peak. Closing Session Road is not a wise decision.
There were a few cars and few people this early.
Even the most active Malcolm Square or People's Park is almost empty.
Up to Session Road I went and then exited through Governor's Park Road.
I then continued on my walk to Imelda Park and along University of the Philippines.
The structures in Sunshine Park or Imelda Park are old compared to the surrounding buildings. It needs renovation and repair. Good thing it is well maintained.
I continued on down UP Drive and headed to The Tower of Peace at Lions Club. This tower was built in partnership with the Lions Club of Baguio and Japan to celebrate peace and understanding in 1973. However, it is in a sad state.
This is hidden from the public eye amidst trees so vandals are free to do what they wanted. A concerned Japanese made a post in facebook asking volunteers to join him clean this tower on August 10th.
From Lion's Club, I took Military Cut-off Road to check wall paintings. I have posted that about it here but haven't had a chance to revisit it.
These are paintings of Venazir Martinez. Read my previous blog here
From what I can tell, it started as a dignified well-dressed lady and slowly transformed to a helpless and suffering woman.
The other paintings of the person who did this are at the Victory Terminal so that is where I headed on to next.
These can be seen where the taxi stand is.
The paintings depict the traditional costume worn by Benguet men and women still worn today but during special events.
From here on, I went down Engineer's Hill exiting Leonard Wood Road and passed by this famous "haunted house".
I ended at Mines View Park where I had my breakfast before heading back.
All photos are mine except stated otherwise.
This is also my entry to @mermaidvampire's #steemproof daily reward.
