My Actifit Report Card: October 11 2018
There are so many group fitness studios in NYC and today I just tried a new one that has been since May. Brrrn is a cold-temperature studio. They offer three different types of class, each ranging from 60 degrees F to 45 degrees. The theory is when you work out in a cold environment, you will work harder to keeping your core body temperature, burning more fat and calories. The class I took was 55 degrees and I was on a slide board where we wore booties over our runners. We worked on lateral side moves, planks, mountain climbers and upper body exercises. Part of the class focused on cardio and the part was strength training. It was challenging and I really enjoyed the cold temperature concept. I can’t wait to try the other two classes. 
I think I could get behind a cold class before I could a hot one! I have some friends that enjoy Bikram yoga, but I get hot enough working out on my own without the room being hot, too. Haha! I don't think we have anything like that near me, but I do love getting out and running when it is in the 50's outside. :)
