Andersen Award in Sestri Levante - Premio Andersen a Sestri levante
Today, in fact, in the splendid Ligurian town, the last day of the
Festival linked to the Andersen Prize was held.
In Sestri Levante, in fact, since 1967, the Hans Christian Andersen
Prize Bay literary competition has been held, dedicated to children's
literature, in particular to the unpublished fairy tale.
It is natural, moreover, for a place that can boast a "Baia delle
Favole" to think of a prize for children's literature and it is equally
natural to dedicate it to Hans Christian Andersen, the writer who has
thus christened one of the most suggestive corners of Sestri Levante:
the splendid inlet to the west of the peninsula of the village.
Quest'oggi, infatti, nella splendida cittadina ligure, si svolgeva
l'ultima giornata del Festival legato al Premio Andersen.
A Sestri Levante, infatti, dal 1967, si svolge il concorso letterario
Premio Hans Christian Andersen Baia delle Favole, dedicato alla
letteratura per l’infanzia, in particolare alla fiaba inedita.
È naturale, d'altronde per un posto che può vantare una "Baia delle
Favole" pensare ad un premio di letteratura per l’infanzia ed è
altrettanto naturale dedicarlo a Hans Christian Andersen, lo scrittore
che ha battezzato così uno degli angoli più suggestivi di Sestri
Levante: la splendida insenatura ad ovest della penisola del borgo.
