One of the problems we're having in Lagos has to do with lack of education on the area of environment. Because it is prone to flooding landlords floor the whole of their property so that water is not retained in the compound. But this then means they haven't created room for greens (plants and trees), no room for recycling own waste and no room for water to be absorb into the ground. In my compound I made provision for all this. We even sell the cans & metal waste to recycling guys who melt them to reproduce new metal product.
