Lovely shawl - simple but very decorative. And a great idea to put it around the statue's shoulders, together with the flowers it's fabulous.

It's an interesting landscape you show us - it seems to be formed by the glaciers with the wide valleys and old mountains. It's so much different from the gentle hills where I live. Everything reasonably flat is used by agriculture: fenced pastures and fields for wheat and sugar beets and rapeseed. We even have a rapeseed festival with a rapeseed queen ;)

I loved how the shawl looked with the flowers too!
You are correct, this whole area was landscaped by glaciers. There are places outside of Bozeman where it snows every month of the year. The valleys were carved by an inland sea as well as glacial lakes. I will need to do a post about Glacial Lake Missoula sometime, it was amazing.
Around Bozeman most of the flat land is ranch for raising cattle, we are actually considered a high desert and very dry most of the year.

Bozeman has a Sweet Pea Festival! But it is more of an arts Festival than anything else.

Sugar beets were a major product of Montana for many years, @lordvdr actually works in a remodeled Beet Canning factory. And rapeseed is growing as a product here in the last few years.

How difficult but similar our areas are!
