Actifit Tracking + Tons of Exploring Today!
Hi Friends!
I’m so stoked to break 10k steps for the first time since injuring my toe about a week ago.
I had so much fun walking out of the resort into a wal mart and shopping center across the street. Spent a few hours exploring the surrounding areas and stocking up on cheap bottled water, snacks and tequila to smuggle into my room.
I iced my feet after coming back from this walk because my toe was definitely starting to hurt. How? Fill up the sink with ice water and sit on the counter!
I did bring a good pair of brooks running shoes with Superfeet orthotics in them for days like this when I know I’ll be walked by a lot.
Orthotics you say? Aren’t you in your 20’s? Hell yeah. Foot health is a top priority for me. If your feet hurt - it can literally stop you from doing any of the actives that you love.
The Daily Health Highlight Reel
Did a 20 minute workout in the room today of squats, ab exercises, arm workouts, one legged pushups etc.
Ate clean even though we went to a breakfast buffet today. Lots of lox, fresh fruit and greens!
- Found some organic fruit at Wal Mart to bring back to the room! Still have some bars, protein shakes and nuts to snack on too.
Buying healthy food to keep in the room is helping me to both stay healthy and save money while on vacation.

Damn a sweet 15k is a solid day your legs must be hurting a bit after that :D I hope that toe is feeling better only a few more weeks I believe till fully healed still take it easy if you can.
Yeah I couldn’t believe it when I saw 15k! I definitely iced my toe when I got back from that adventure. 😜
15k is legit walking.

Thanks @pouchon! I’m still icing my toe and putting on arnica even though I’ve been walking more the last few days. Fingers crossed it’s back to normal soon!

Ha I am probably double or more your age though so that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!
Take care of that foot though. Injuries fade with youth and come back to haunt you later. Orthotics are good idea.
Good point about injuries. 😬 I’ve been icing it here at the resort still, but have definitely been more active while out exploring.
