Just what is a fish ladder???
I was so impressed with the inner city urban trail network I wanted to show everyone more...... The salmon fish ladder!😊
This Salmon hatchery is run by the local Technical College.
In the fall the Salmon return from the salt water bay by instinct, and make their way back to where their journey began!
Not all survive but some do and they make their way upstream through the water ladder to lay their eggs.
These eggs will begin the life cycle and journey of the Salmon again next year!😊
What is even more impressive is this is smack in the middle of downtown!😯
@silvertop did get his Mountainhiking in too, I am really feeling the burn tonight.......113 floors🤗
