Patuljci poskakaše uzevši svoje sekire. Miomir se nađe u čudu. Gledaju oni Miomira, gleda Miomir njih. Nešto im je čudan taj ork koji se iznebuha pojavio u njihovom rudniku.
"Izvin'te, milom vas," reče Miomir. "Nisam hteo ovako da upadnem. Kopao sam tunel da preko reda uzmem gaće što ih dele džabe. Nisam znao da ovde nešto postoji."
Patuljci mu nisu verovali. Škrgutali su zubima stežući sekire. Gandalf ga je sumnjičavo gledao ispod oka.
