Burning Things With The Boy
Two Aikido classes in the morning for a decent workout. I bought a coffee, but managed to prevent myself from cheating on our budget to buy beer. Actually the health argument helped me stand firm. I like beer, but beer is not kind to my joints - I get aches and pains after drinking. I can ignore them, but I shouldn't.
This boy, @zacktime, convinced me to pitch a tent in the backyard for the night. He learned how to light a match. If we had let him, he would have thrown every stick in the yard into the fire at once.
The puppy is not a fan of the tent. There are many wild rabbits here and it's driving her nuts to hear them foraging around. If only we knew how to catch and barbecue them, this could be a #homesteading post.
A small victory today: continued my financial discipline, even though we had a setback in the form of an unexpected charge that cost overdraft fees. This week I will be tested. If I plan ahead and am disciplined in how I spend my money and my time, I'll be halfway to the best revenue month I've seen in some time. But already the drag of doubt and complacency pulls at me. Tomorrow's post will be about motivation!
This post was endearing.. love the homestead comment :D
Not a day goes by that I don't wonder if I could eat one of those things.

I remember once driving teh back road of Nevada and there were jackrabbits everywhere, and thinking.. this. this is what you eat when you live here...
The pic of the fire and rabbit comments reminds me of that
I’m afraid of rabbits. Fun of the great outdoors. 11k is a quality activity count. @actifit counts gym activity and life activity

Thanks! I have an active job and I either teach or train martial arts most days, so I get over 10K most days except for the occasional lazy Sunday.
Rabbits are a bit scary looking, I admit. Or maybe you watch a lot of David Lynch movies. I think he might be scared of them too.
