My Actifit Activity Log [11.28.2018] ACTIVITIES THAT COMPOUND YOUR SPIRIT

So what sort of activities can you do to compound your spirit?

Here’s a list of some of the activities I have found to benefit my spiritual health:

UNWIND & RECHARGE:

  • Do absolutely nothing.
  • Play video games.
  • Hot Tub & Steam Room.
  • Long Hot Showers.
  • Deep Tissue Massage.
  • Go to #Sleep1HourEarly

CONSUMPTION:

  • Eat at an all you can eat buffet.
  • Listen to music.
  • Find an inspirational photo or video online.
  • Listen to an autobiography or life learning audio/video.
  • Read a book of fiction.
  • Watch anime or a movie.

CONNECTION:

  • Play board games.
  • Play with children. (Remember how much fun it was!?)
  • Attending a community event.
  • Giving an unexpected gift.
  • Random acts of kindness.
  • Catch up with an old friend. (in person or on the phone)
  • Sex. (Yeah! I went there!)

CREATIVITY:

  • Art Projects.
  • Story writing.
  • Tinker in my work shop.
  • Making Breakfast.

ACTIVE/INACTIVE SELF-DISCOVERY:

  • Work on my Positivity Portfolio (Gratefulness).
  • Solitude and silence.
  • Review my goals and aspirations.
  • Review my life changing milestones.
  • Sit quietly and meditate.
  • Focus on a mantra.
  • World travel.
  • Yoga.
  • Just Breath #Take100Breaths
  • Letting Go.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Treasure hunt at an antique venue.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:

  • Going for a walk in the woods or in the rain.
  • Hiking & camping in the mountains or along the ocean.
  • Canoeing & fishing.
  • Explore a place I haven’t been to before.
  • Caring for my garden.
  • Geocaching.
  • Tanning on the beach.

I should mention that not all of the activities I’ve listed above are equal in intensity or quality. To give you an idea of what I mean by this consider the choice between watching a movie and taking the time to intentionally meditate.

Watching a movie is passive and the least intense of the two activities. Likely it can be determined that a movie would yield the lowest for health benefits to the SPIRIT although after a long day slugging it out in the corporate world that may, by force of habit, be all you feel like doing by the end of the day! Both have a spiritual restorative yield but both can not be considered equal.

As you can see... Being mindful of the activities you chose is all about fully understanding the aspect of your health that you are working to compound.

Over time equipping yourself by maintaining a disciplined practice (a daily activity that compounds your spirit) can do wonders for your resiliency and over all well-being.

Another thing to consider here is that this is my list of activities that I use to compound my spirit. Yours may be entirely different and that’s ok! We all are unique in what primes and charges our SPIRITS!

Just remember... every health compounder has activities that positively compound your health or negatively compound your health. When it comes to spiritual health and well-being this is especially the case. It is critical to recognize this...

Hi @runridefly! I'm gad you enjoyed my post! As for getting an #AutomaticWin... You never know until you try right!? Keep on feeding your spirit with more mindful and better activities and you never know what you'll be doing next! :D

You have listed all the great activities that I like to partake in too. Walking alone in clean fresh air really does wonders to my spirit.
Cooking is another one I like. Just gathering all the ingredients, preparing them into something sumptuous and healthy then sitting down to enjoy is very refreshing.

I never thought of that activity... Cooking can be a very satisfying but I always find the dishes afterward to be a major detractor! lol! But you certainly got me thinking... I realized after your comment here that I really enjoy making breakfasts... So! I updated my list of activities that compound my spirit and added that (as well as a couple others) to the list! Thank you for sharpening my Spirit Eric! :D
