It is important to understand that when the necessary time is available and the ideas and activities that are going to be undertaken are properly organized, creativity in any situation emerges quickly. It is also necessary to emphasize that for every minute invested in the planning of some activity, this will generate more savings in the implementation of it.
In short, when time is properly managed through good planning, it unquestionably improves the quality of life.
On occasions for many people planning activities is not considered something primordial, it is then when improvisation is practiced in all aspects and scenarios of life, at work, school, home, however, carry out a proper planning is a necessary practice that will allow to organize time making it more productive and usable, otherwise, this could generate situations of stress, discomfort, despair and even depression, which can even affect health.

When talking about large organizations this practice applied strategically is fundamental, since it defines the success of the same in all aspects, generally companies make an exhaustive analysis of their strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities and work according to that, ie mark their limits and with that diagnosis begin to plan future operations.
Strategic planning is an organizational management activity that is used to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, establish agreement around intended outcomes/results, and assess and adjust the organization's direction in response to a changing environment.It is important to point out that strategic planning will somehow orient and give direction to the activities that are going to be developed in the organization.
Establishing priorities and the main needs of the organization through strategic planning will allow to focus total attention on what you want to achieve and to work according to it, stressing that it is necessary an effective leadership of those who are in the higher levels that lead the personnel to reach the proposed goals managing the resources in an effective way.

It is considered necessary to take some steps to carry out adequate planning, although there is no specific parameter to follow, it is important to take into account the realization of an analysis and diagnosis of the situation, the resources that are available and internal and external factors that can serve as support, then the formulation of the main strategy supported in the general plan as a result of the diagnosis made, then the execution of the plan, the operational phase in conjunction with the work team and finally the continuous evaluation of the executed plan, the overall performance and the results obtained.
Sun Tzu, the oldest of the modern strategists (4th century B.C.) and who for 25 centuries has influenced the military thought of the world did not know the term strategic planning, he spoke of the offensive strategy. In Chapter VIII (The Nine Variables), verse 9, of his book The Art of War, he says: "The general (strategists) must be sure that he can exploit the situation to his advantage, as circumstances require. He is not bound to specific procedures."
Man has the capacity of cerebral invention, to equip, to educate and to train his mind of any form.
There are those who with more facility have the ability to face and to respond to diverse challenges that are presented to them, great leaders and managers have the vision and the creative capacity to plan strategically the steps to follow for the success, there are those who of natural form have this sensitivity, but also those who through stimuli and professional preparation can effectively cultivate superior ideas that lead to expected results, nevertheless experience is fundamental and can be an important ingredient for the formulation of creative ideas and strategical minds, to be in transcendental situations and scenarios that demand a superior action, where the decision making is made from the analysis and the characteristics of the context.
In the history there are many characters who stood out in the great battlefields in innumerable occasions, demonstrating their strategist, tactical and operative capacity before their opponents and adversaries to achieve their objectives in diverse contests. Here are some of them:
-Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821): a man with great warfare and political ability that made him a great strategist, considered by many to be the greatest military leader in history.
-Julius Caesar (100-44 B.C.): Although he was defeated in some battles, he was also the victor in all wars, undoubtedly a great protagonist of Roman history.
-Alexander the Great (356-323 B.C.): Great leader, imposing man, careful of every step he took in his battles, always with a strategic plan that guided his team, this great imperial conqueror extended his dominions from Greece to India.
It is also necessary to mention the Prussian General Carl Von Clausewitz, who inspired many theorists of the administration, who relied on their organization and military strategies to adopt them in the industrial field. It should be noted that the treatise written by the General, which served as a guide for many theorists, emphasized the importance of careful planning, sound decisions based on the scientific rather than the intuitive, minimizing uncertainty in any situation.

There is no doubt that planning in a company or organization and even in any aspect of our lives is fundamental, since it guides and charts the course to achieve the objectives we have set ourselves. To prioritize, to establish the vision, the mission and the goals, are strategically necessary steps in the plan to work for what is wanted, allowing to foresee the possible obstacles and factors of risk that can be presented but always having contingency plans that can counteract the presented difficulty.
In the personal aspect the planning is necessary and fundamental to undertake future projects and its implementation serves to be prevented before some circumstance that can be generated, it is always probable that unforeseen or unexpected situations can be generated, nevertheless when being prepared previously it is possible to counteract this conjuncture that can emerge. By dispensing with proper planning is very difficult to achieve the objectives. "Time is money" and for this reason we must make the most of it. It is an almost obligatory condition to have our goals and objectives outlined and defined in the most specific way possible in order to successfully fulfill each one of them.

Very good post, @lights. Strategic planning is a concept that, although with a few years in vogue, still has an undeniable validity, as is well expressed in your presentation. In my workspaces I have insisted on the need to apply it, but unfortunately, many officials do not like to make diagnoses and establish objectives and goals, much less evaluate. So, as a major consequence, we have an institution or organization that is adrift, attending only to contingencies. In our personal life it is also applicable and necessary. According to experts, not planning is planning for failure.
Strategic planning is useless unless there is first a strategic vision. I believe that for some things or tasks planning is necessary, however I believe that there are others that do not have to be thought about or planned much. We live in a world where every minute is timed and thought about how we can invest it. Sometimes I stop and change the agenda, and play improvisation. I've certainly paid for my hazing at times, but I've enjoyed those improvised activities a lot. Thanks for sharing, @luces!
In designing a future, of course we must be more careful. All are worked out in detail to minimize errors when a project or organization is running. The big plan must be accompanied by opportunities to make plan B or have to make improvisations without having to change the direction of the goals to be achieved.
In world history, such as Gengis Khan, Napoleon, Gajah Mada, and other great figures all prepare their plans carefully. They also always provide other plans if the main plan has a failure or difficulty. Likewise, it needs the ability to improvise so that the plan will go back well
