The Birth of Venus is an artistic creation by Sandro Botticelli made around 1485– 87. It portrays the goddess Venus (or Aphrodite as she is known in Greek folklore) rising up out of the ocean upon a shell as per the fantasy that clarifies her introduction to the world. A few specialists ascribe its bonus to Lorenzo de' Medici and the Villa of Castello as the site to which the work was initially ordained. Today, the sketch is held in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
