Hiking the Hennops Trail
The Hennops Hiking trail is about an hour's drive from Johannesburg. We set out last Sunday to go on a short hike on a beautifully overcast morning.
We chose the 5km Zebra trail. It was a balanced walk covering steep and flat ground.
A not great pic of a butterfly - he wouldn't sit still.
Pretty flowers. When dried up they turn into "itchy powder". When we were kids we would all pick them and throw them down each other's shirts and we would all itch like crazy.

That wobbly bridge looks quite safe actually? Seems like well maintained!
The river's color on the other hand is not something i would be comfortable to get in =)

Life is good thanks - same old :-) looking forward to a week off from school soon. I'll be setting exams but at least I'll get to work from home with the critters. They are all behaving. Shakespeare has developed a terrible hip problem :-( perhaps I'll write a blog post on it and his treatment plan and progress. My poor boy.

Why is it so much easier to do some things from home with the company of our critters? Is your Aunt Kiligirl doing alright? I haven’t heard from her in ages, so I know she is kicking butt on her project. Hope your son feels better with his treatment. We had a lot of luck with acupuncture on Lola’s hips.
