Hubs as Beacons of Advertising

Behind the scenes, @sndbox has been busy collaborating on a series of international marketing campaigns to promote Steemit, most notably within the Turkish Community Hub ( through @tach ) and Nigerian Community Hub ( @stach ). Inspired by @timcliff's 10,000 Poster campaign these teams have been working tirelessly to spread the word of Steem through clever initiatives that we will showcase in this post today. Please make sure to check out their pages and support their hard work through upvotes, comments and resteeming!

@sndbox has been helping these community Sndcastle’s through designing posters, brainstorming marketing strategies and phasing project ideas. We all have seen the strength of meetup culture on Steemit. Through these campaigns, we hope to foster more of that successful in-person dynamic.

“Turkey In The Streets” by @tach

This campaign was executed by @tach (the Turkish Accelerator Hub). The experimental / guerilla marketing project was carried out in 3 major cities of Turkey. In Istanbul, Izmir, and Canakkale. Guerilla posterizing was carried out by an enthusiastic team of Turks; @monomyth @steeminator3000, @vitruvianman and @kalvas.

The goal of the project was to use earned Steem and SBD to spread awareness, meet with people serendipitously and build up a buzz surrounding Steem. The campaign’s next step will be to advertise and host in-person workshops within Universities (targeting a younger and crypto-friendly audience). @monomyth has already begun to use the momentum gained from this campaign to host a handful of University workshops and onboard new users!

@vitruvianman made an incredible film about the project, take a look:

“Project20millionNaija, Steemit National Campaign” by @stach

This campaign was created by @stach (A Steem Accelerator Hub in Port Harcourt, Nigeria) and supported by @onequality, @steem-lagos and of course, our team @sndbox.

The project seeks to make Steemit Go Viral through alternative outlets of social media. Participants are encouraged to kickstart a conversation about Steemit with family and friends by sharing the poster through their social media network (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Blogspot, Wordpress, Medium, Whatsapp, etc.) @stach will then reward Steemians (with SBD) who post a picture of conversations they are having as a result of the poster-share. The goal for this campaign is to catalyze a conversation across 10 million people in Nigeria.

It’s an exciting and ambitious goal, let’s do our best to help @stach @steem-lagos and @onequality make it happen! Support the project, here (@stach) and here (@steem-lagos).

Feel free to grab (print/share) any of these posters for your own use!

With a minimal amount of funds, we can do lots in relation tot his... Maybe specialized poster artists could be given the opportunity of a contest where we'd keep the best 5 and let the people chose their own to post all over the world?

Great work, as always, thanks for sharing, namaste :)

The decision to support community based projects is very much appreciated.

I love the idea, especially because it is in favor of making the community grow, the big ones really helping the little ones, I see it fresh and sincere. Count me in
