It's @amec again from the depths of amec empire to blow your minds with some information about the blockchain technology,its evolution and the next generation of blockchain AERGO which is a 4th generation enterprise ready blockchain protocol.

The blockchain technology is a product of the internet invented by a pseudo personality known as SATOSHI nakamoto in 2009 to serve as an open space for cryptocurrencies to exist.In simpler terms,the blockchain is a cryptographic distributed ledger for storing transactions and hosting decentralised applications and currencies- amec 2018

The blockchain technology has significantly undergone a lot of changes and upgrades in the past few years after its invention to suite various purposes and users,this evolution in blockchain technology could be analysed through the recognition of the generations of blockchain which are enumerated below;

1st Gen Blockchains
The first generation of blockchain coins were created with intent of decentralization for the main purpose of serving as an alternative to fiat,it facilitated peer to peer payment between 2 parties without the need of an intermediary.

2nd Gen Blockchains
The second generation blockchain revolution was triggered by fans and early adopters of the first generation coin[bitcoin],the crypto space witnessed the invention of assets with use cases such as ethereum,qtum and waves.

These coins had advanced algorithms and servers and clouds by 1st gen blockchains were replaced by multitude of nodes run by various people all over the world to maintain the network for optimised operation...this gen was suitable for tokenization for start up businesses and ico on the blockchain.

3rd Gen Blockchains
This gen of blockchain introduced a governance system in the crypto space as well as advanced agreements/contracts could be easily executed through the second gen revolution with managed communities that allow free flow of information and related phenomenal

Third gen blockchain also had the ability to exist and work in various layers where each layer could be used to carry out distinct functions such as managing contracts,security etc.... Notable examples of 3rd gen are steem,eos,iost,ada,icon and aion.3rd gen coins solved scaling,high fees and speed issues in previous blockchains.
