After Age of Empires, Age of Mythology will also return

in #after5 years ago

Following the release of the Definitive Edition of the First Age of Empires, Microsoft continued to work on the upgrades of the Age of Empires II and III, the first of which is scheduled for the coming fall. Relic Entertainment is also working on the extremely expected Age of Empires 4 at the same moment. The Definitive Editions are used to accompany fans to publish one of the most famous RTS series ever of the fresh primary section.

Which also involves Age of Mythology, the chapter in the series published by Ensemble Studios in 2002 and considered best by many players. Adam Isgreen, creative director of Age of Empires, says that Age of Mythology will return earlier or later after research on the present Definitive Edition is finished.

"It's good to see how much mythological age love there is," Isgreen told Eurogamer. "We will assess what to do with Age of Mythology after completing the job on the Definitive Editions of the Three Ages of Empires. I love this game and I will definitely insist a lot on making his comeback."

Isgreen seems to refer to a Definitive Edition of Age of Mythology, although Age of Mythology: Extended Edition was published in 2014 and another initial remaster may be redundant. Also because a fresh Extended Edition patch will arrive shortly, as stated by the same Isgreen. What is certain is that with the Definitive Editions an even more profound work has been done with the Age of Empires, with a general review of the game with new balances, more fluidity, more detailed animations, changes in the maps of the classic versions in some cases, and a greater overall reactivity.
