RE: Robotic Armies - AI, Drone Warfare and the Future of Combat

in #ai6 years ago (edited)

I think that there will never be a time when humans aren't involved in the theater of war. In the words of the universal soldier, "soldiers deserve soldiers".

However, terrorists who strike civilians... deserve killing machines, as they unleash their unattended machines on us. Is a time bomb not more than the simplest of killing machines? It is a machine programmed to do what it does, by computer, remote, or timer. In the simplest term, it IS a robot. Program deploy and walk away, in some cases, quickly. Can not a time-bomb be equipped with a basic selective AI? it would be able to recognize when its victims are coming, or when the person next to it is not its target?

In real warfare, there should always be a person in control of the weapon. and my how complex they are these days. AI is great, but we need a human in the mix who knows about the off switch that the AI has no clue of.

Sort:

Cluster bombs, smart bombs, cruise missiles, tomahawk... is also a robot... Have used it for the benefit of humanity or against it?.. Of course not...
All these weapons were used against humanity and for domination and oil.... There is no reason to give proof that robots will benefit humanity
Hiroshima has proved this in the past....
