Air-Clinic Writing Contest: Uses & Abuses of Marijuana.

Marijuana is one of the most abused drugs in the world. It comes from the hemp plant (cannabis sativa). Yes, it is highly abused but it has some significant uses in medical practice.

Some uses of marijuana are;

1. It is used to manage nausea, vomiting and weight loss in HIV patient and patients undergoing chemotherapy.
2. It is used to treat glaucoma.
3. It is use to decrease anxiety.
4. It may be use to treat inflammatory bowel diseases including crohn's disease.
5. It relieves arthritis discomfort.
6. Marijuana is said to spur creativity and stimulate appetite.
   This is just the few I can remember, but hey! Go check it up. You will find that marijuana is not so bad after all.
   
   The abuse of this marijuana has increase so much that little children use to drink tea, some use it to cook food just to get high. As for me, i have not taken it before, but I had a friend in my 100level as freshman in the university. He eventually took it for the first time and in his own words he said that he was so high that he felt his sanity leaving him. He had to run from the he was to the church in search of the "Most High". He said, he was lucky to come out of it alive.
   So this shit will mess with your head so much that you can't do without it. Yeah, they say it will give you inspiration, make you to be creative or give you insight, but hey! The after effect is not worth.
