AIR CLINIC CONTEST

This is my first time joining a contest with AIR-CLINIC
The topic for this week is titled What I think about abortion (induced abortion).

When mentioning the word abortion, people tend to shy away and most go with the "no" word. According to wikipedia abortion is the ending of pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus. An abortion that occurs spontaneously is also known as a miscarriage.
Abortion is often not the right choice but whatever the case maybe, i think that in some cases abortion is a proper decision. In some cases of rape, a woman should be able to make her own choices since it is her choice of not wanting to bring an unwanted child into this world. There is no chance of a good life for both the girl and the baby if the baby is been born on severely disability and at such if she can survive the trauma of being raped, the love for child will or can never be completely.

Would it be advisable for a girl to be punished with bringing a child into this world when she cannot sustain it. Let's say in cases a girl is still young and cannot support child upbringing or she is still in school which might jeopardize her education because she is not allowed to make her own choices.

I was opportune to be in the hospital one Saturday morning and I witnessed a woman crying bitterly because she was presented with two options on her pregnancy that its either she aborts the baby because of her issues or loose her life with that of the unborn child. In situations like this, abortion is the right choice here.
I read an article online about a secondary school girl who sought advice from people on either having an abortion or keeping the pregnancy. A lot of people gave their different opinion and one person went ahead to advice the girl on giving birth to the child and having it adopted. And I thought to myself what is the lay out future for the innocent child that was brought into this cruel world of dogs eating dogs. Biblically killing a child is a sin in the eyes of God but will you call it killing if it was not yet developed.

Nevertheless I came into a conclusion that if a woman should embark on bringing a child into this world, she should put these into consideration:

1.She should consider if she is ready to become a parent.

1. She should consider if the pregnancy will be good for health and that of the child.

2. she should consider if it is good time in her life to have a baby.

3. She should be able to actualize a dream and looked back if she is able to achieve any of her life goals.

4. She should consider if the person she is in a relationship with ready for child upbringing, financially buoyant, and ready to take responsibilities.

If this lay out point are taking into consideration issues like unwanted pregnancy, overpopulation, and abject poverty would never come in place.
Furthermore I would advice women on embarking on sexual inter course that they should get their selves protected because if it is done issues like abortion will be well addressed.
