AIR CLINIC WRITING CONTEST : An unfortunate Messiah

When you walk into the emergency section of that hospital months after that very unfortunate incident , you notice supposedly diligent staff doing their best to save lives, don't be fooled, they are just trying to make sure they don't suffer the same fate as Nurse Tade.

Nurse Tade, like others in the emergency section, have an attitude so entrenched in them that you'll think they took a separate course simply to behave that way : leg-crossing and story telling at the expense of their emergency victims. They simply don't care who you are or what your predicament is, you have to wait until they're done relaxing.

It is no secret in the medical world that the early moments of an accident are very crucial in saving lives, bones, tissues and other organs. However the staff of this hospital had an habit of simply waiting to be told of the death of the victims, they'll usually say : "another dog is dead".

On this day, when Nurse Tade heard those words, she simply rose to tag the dead man- write name and time of death and other details required. However, when she caught sight of the "dead meat" she had a feeling very close to what you feel after breaking your mum's favorite vase, she simply wished she could reverse time.

She certainly didn't see it coming, lying helplessly dead on the cold floor was her very own husband, apparently involved in a horrible accident that wasn't fatal until his death.

You could notice from the gradual rising of her wails that hers was a gradual realisation of what her negligence and that of those working in that ward has costed her. It was obvious she couldn't be angry at anyone else but herself, for this is simply a tragedy of her own making.

His death was unfortunate, at least for his own innocence, but he certainly gave others a chance to live, months after that incident, every emergency victim got a chance to be attended to, for at least, other nurses didn't want to suffer the Tade syndrome.
