MUSCULOSKELETAL DISEASES- 1 : DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
Hello friends,
Its been a long time that i posted here, and sorry for that.
TODAY we are going to discuss about a serious disorder which is like a curse to males. That disease is called DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY also called as Psuedohypertrophic muscular dystrophy.
In this present world, who dont think about building a great body and attract others, but we never think what will happen if our muscles get weak. Guess the consequences that we face if all our skeletal muscles got weak..in the comment section below. 👇 👇

DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
Its a x linked recessive disorder also known as psuedohypertrophic muscular dystrophy.
Luckily the incidence is 1 in 5200 live births.
CLINICAL FEATURES
AT 5 YEARS: Muscle weakness which can be manifested as Gowers sign.
Image source: EmazeAT 6 YEARS: Contractures of heel cords and iliotibial bands and this can be easily seen by lordotic posture

Image source: pinterest.AT 12 YEARS: The child will become wheelchair dependent and may also develop scoliosis.

AT 16-18 YEARS: The person may die due to pulmonary infections mostly and also cardiac complications
Intelligence of the child may also effected and leads to low IQ
