Some background on Vorden, The Netherlands
Around may we hope to be moved to our new home in Vorden. With this post I would like to introduce this little village to all you Steemians.

Vorden has about 7500 residents of which 5100 live in the center of the town.
There is one main street in the center with a couple of shops, cafe's and restaurants. Although Vorden is quiete small it is self-sufficient with supermarkets, bakkery and butcher. So we don't have to leave 'town' to get our groceries.
Vorden is well-known in the Netherlands for it's castle's around Vorden. There are eight in total

Every summer a lot of tourists visit Vorden to have a round along the castle's to see the anchient buildings.
Each summer there are many festivities in and around Vorden. My kid are already looking forward to those events knowing they can walk to the venue if they have to :)
Vorden is about 8 KM from the place we are living now, so our kids stay at their current school. That's good for them because they already have a lot of friends on the current school.

It sounds like it will be the ideal place to live! 8 castles seems like a lot! Why are there so many castles in this area?
I'm not sure, but at that time there were a lot of highly placed people in the eastern part of the Netherlands, perhaps that has something to do with it...
Maybe it was just a good place to live then, too!

Looks like it is going to be a great little town for your family to move to. That is awesome that you are going to be able to walk to most of the events. I like living in the country, but I can definitely see the benefit of living close to town like that!
I really (I mean really) love the nice looking and the bicycle-friendly streets in the Netherlands. Also the people I got to know where so kind and calmed down.. Somewhen in the far far future I want to immigrate and I know already today, that I will love to live there!
And I will eat pindakaas every siiiingle day! haha
