QuarkChain Weekly AMA Summary - 08/18/2018

QuarkChain has been holding its weekly AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Telegram/Wechat groups every Saturday, from 7-8 PM PST. This is the summary for AMA from last week. We are always happy to take questions/comments/suggestions.

Part 1: Marketing Questions

1. Q: Why there are no works in your client library for nearly two weeks? Do you have any plans to attract more developers to build dApps on your platform?
   A: The client library is already feature-complete. We have open sourced it since the Blockchain Awakens Hackathon two weeks ago. Once it is open sourced, it is better not to make modifications since developers have started using it. Now we are focusing on the backend to reach feature parity as Ethereum client (Geth and Parity), plus QuarkChain-specific features. Also, please stay tuned for more upcoming developer-centric campaigns.

2. Q: Regarding your $50M QKC Fund, how much it left until now after you built your ecosystem?
   A: QKC Eco-fund is not QKC Fund. The target of this Eco-fund is to put all the money into projects to let them get the better development. It's still in the beginning stage now.

3. Q: When is first dApp expected?
   A: It will officially be on our platform after we launch the mainnet at the end of 2018 or the early of 2019. However, there are already some dApps starting developing on our testnet platform currently Thus, there may be some beta-version dApps running on our testnet later this year.

Part 2: Technical Questions

1. Q: How much is your expected TPS at the end of this year (after mainnet released)?
   A: It depends on demand. The main feature is that we could increase capacity on-demand as the network grows.

2. Q: Currently many new projects claim that they achieve several million TPS, but I cannot really believe that is real. Do you think that this is realistic or will be, and under which technical setup?
   A: Some of them are permission blockchains. That means by trading off decentralization, one can achieve high TPS.
