so let’s start making vocations plans, and best part let me tell you where are you going! We all love music, food, drinks and good time…
all that, summed up equals to Mexico! As you know, Mexico is fun, in so many ways. From the language that sounds like drama to the people and food and cities and basically everything.
Mexico is everything you need. Also, history, culture is what you have to see, visit and learn while you are in Mexico.
Because it is more than unique, more than special and it is one in a lifetime experience. If you are into history and learning new cultures, well, you will have a blast.
So, your next destination is Tapachula. If you haven’t heard about the city of Tapachula, also known as Tapachula de Córdova y Ordóñez,
it is located in the southeast of the state of Chiapas in Mexico. So, all you have to do is pack your bags and let head to one f the most amazing attraction in the city,
the Izapa Archaeological Zone. Yes, we are going back to history. Izapa Archaeological Zone is a very large pre-Columbian archeological site,
which is known for its occupation during the Late Formative period. The site is located on the Izapa River, it is a tributary of the Suchiate River, and it is near the base of the volcano Tacana which is the sixth tallest mountain in Mexico.

The site is located 13 kilometers from Tapachula, open hours are from Monday through Friday from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm.

The site is privately owned and is leased to the National Institute of History and Anthropology, but enabling visitor free access to the ruins.
It is a huge state, around 200 hectares and consists of 13 plazas, but most of the site has still to be uncovered and renovated.
They say that “The first human settlement in Izapa began somewhere around 1500 to 1250 BC, with the inhabitants living by agriculture and the abundance of wild fruits and coca.
Izapa was inhabited throughout the Pre-classic and into the Post-classic Period and is thought by some to have been a connective link between the Olmec and
Maya cultures whilst some people suggest that it was the place of origin for the Maya calendar; all of which establish its importance within the history of the region.”

So, as you can see, it is a very special place, and you must visit it! You will get to see ruins, monuments, to research, learn and have the best outdoor activity on your vocation!
