Chinese paleontologists, in cooperation with their American colleagues, have found traces of frogs kept inside amber pieces.
The age of the ancient frogs is 100 million years old, Xinhua news agency said. The case of ancient amphibians is relatively good, said the researcher at the University of Chinese Geology, Xing Lida, adding that the length of one of them is 2.2 centimeters and did not expose her skull and part of her spine and limbs to any damage.
Scientists pointed to the small amphibians discovered, indicating that they inhabited tropical forests in northern Myanmar today.
According to Xing Lida, paleontologists first discovered the effects of ancient frogs in the Cretaceous tropical forests, the oldest discovered amphibians to date. Scientists in Mexico and the Dominican Republic earlier discovered ancient frogs, 30 million years.
