Interesting way to put it. Taxation: “The price we pay for failure”. But that kind of legitimizes the conquest. It’s like, don’t fail or the gators are waiting to eat you, this thinking accepts the role of the gators because “it’s their nature”, can’t blame the gator. But the people who collect taxes, aren’t gators. They’re humans trained to be gators. If you get my drift.
