This is horrible and it appears to be pandering to liberals to increase approval ratings. The thing is though, i believe a lot of independents out there support Trump in a half ass way solely because the liberals have such insane notions of sprinting towards a nanny state and others just want to do whatever to make sure Democrats don't have power.

However, many of those, particularly Libertarians, really are not going to like this at all, not to mention the fact that his own die-hard supporters tend to be staunchly opposed to exactly this.
