The City of Hamilton was recently demanding that a local left-wing anarchist group remove the anarchy symbol from their headquarters citing it as a hate symbol comparable to the swastika! But Hamilton police eventually squashed this attempting claiming that “It does not meet the threshold of a hate crime…To the best of our knowledge, it is classified as an extreme left sign….So I don't know where the direction came that Hamilton police have identified it as a hate crime sign, because as per our hate crime co-ordinator, that is not the case.”

Hate speech! Wow, they are looking for any excuse to persecute and put anarchy in a bad light, clearly it has nothing to do with hate speech.
But it does sound like these confused AnCOMs (aka not real anarchists) in this particular groupmade poor judgement if they did do any of that damage.
