Conscious Application Of The LAW OF LIBERTY

in #anarchy6 years ago

This is a follow up to a previous post in which we saw WHAT the Law of Liberty is.

If you missed part one and/or are unfamiliar with WHAT the Law of Liberty is, I recommend catching up @

Now we'll take a brief look at HOW the Law of Liberty can be applied by individuals.

The first step is to consciously and consistently analyze personal choices and actions on a daily basis through the lens of The Law of Liberty (Natural Law).

For example:

What do I do with my energy, time, and attention?

Are the people in my life moral?

Do they know what liberty is?

Are they consciously seeking to achieve it?

What about my environment? My habits and routines?

Do I use products and services that are produced and provided  in a fashion that is conducive to liberty, or to slavery?

Getting into specifics, a big thing to look at is how we’re meeting our basic needs of food, shelter, etc.  For those who are off-grid and completely self-sufficient, BRAVO! You’re many practical steps ahead of me.  Aside from that, most of us spend time and do some type of mental or physical “labor” in exchange for currency, which we then exchange for goods and services.

The question then is, what type of “labor” are we doing? And for who? And, most importantly, is it MORAL?

Meaning, is it causing liberty or slavery?

For example:

Working for a violence-based institution, such as government, is causing slavery, and must be avoided.

Working for “government” can not only be done directly, but also indirectly.

By directly, I mean working for any government institution.  Military, police, etc.

By indirectly, I mean a business that works with “government”.  For example, someone that works for Boeing.  Technically, they’re not working directly for the mafia called government.

However, Boeing is largely dependent on stolen loot (taxation) from “government” contracts.  So someone working for Boeing is indirectly supporting the violence inherent in the state.  By default, this person is supporting slavery.

For myself, I don’t work for any violence-based institution, directly or indirectly.  But that’s only part of the picture.

It’s also important to not support those working for institutions that are causing slavery.

For example:

Not supporting those who live an immoral lifestyle.

When confronting someone who works for the state gang, speak truth to them.  At least offer some form of resistance.  Plant seeds of liberty.  This is not just when you’re confronted by a cop, or TSA, or any other order-follower.  This also means on a personal level.  Is someone in your family working for an extortion-funded institution? Tell them that what they’re doing is wrong, and WHY.

This is an area where I’ve improved greatly over the past year.  I’ve overcome much fear and gained courage.  However, I’m still very far from where I need to be.  It’s an ongoing process.

On an impersonal level,  it's also crucial to withdraw your support from coercive institutions.

An effective way to do this is to defund them.

Actively seek ways to avoid “taxation”.  Do peer-to-peer transactions.  Look for ways to use voluntary currencies (crypto, for example) to obtain goods and services, rather than using violence-backed central bank instruments.

But avoiding the negative is only half the battle.  To shift away from the negative and towards the positive, how about supporting and actively seeking positive solutions?

For example

Supporting those who are not taking immoral actions and are actively seeking voluntary solutions.

Try supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and innovators that are engaged in moral (non-violent) business models (and preferably tax-free).

Buy food from a local farmer.

Do self-directed education, rather than schooling.

Try to learn and implement some self-reliance techniques.

Engage in agorism.

In the current condition of human society, it’s almost impossible to live a 100 percent moral life, all the time.

Nobody’s perfect, and I’ll be the first to admit that about myself.

The key is to constantly make an effort to consciously apply the Law of Liberty in our daily choices and actions.

Eventually, when enough people do this, humanity will experience more liberty and will be on the way to truly abolishing slavery.

Thanks for your time and attention!

Just say "NO" to slavery!
