These things are the future. Android TV will be the most common operating system on SmartTVs very soon. But until then such Android TV boxes are a good solution. Thanks for recommending.

With private keys security is becoming important. Why not look at health too at the same time. So, I try to go for boxes with an Ethernet cable option (avoids wifi health issues), the ability to turn off the wifi on the box (should not emit EMFs), and no mic on the remote (for security, hw off switch would do).
The last time I checked, the Kodi box seemed to be the best option for open source and fix this criteria. The Kodi runs android apps too. This is probably not the most secure option though. Would be nice to know more about this..
MI Box Android looks cool, maybe a USB Ethernet adapter would work. I bet a USB Ethernet adapter would work if the kernel were setup correctly. If the box were all open source, the mic would be less of a concern.
