I guess I have been lucky in my approach. While it would be great to get large votes and such, and this is certainly a business I treat it more as a place to learn and socialize. I figure if I make real connections and invest a little here and there on top, that I will end up where I need to be. It helps viewing the interactions as valuable first, then extra grateful for whatever monetary votes come from that.
