THE SPECIES THAT CAUSES MOST HUMAN DEATHS

Well, we all are aware of the number of various animals that share the planet with us as well as we are also aware of the nature of them. Well some of them are not so friendly or rather they might not like intruders. There is a very long list of animals which have killed a large number of humans and hence have a tag known as deadly animals. But when we look at the top of the list we find the lil buddy to be ever wandering around us..

The most deadly animal of the world is

Mosquito

With over a million deaths are caused because of this lil fella. It is quite surprising to note that such a small creature can claim so many lives but it is true according to the World Health Organisation. They are a group of about 3500 species of small insects all around the globe who first appeared around 226 million years ago. Mosquitoes have a slender segmented body, a pair of wings, three pairs of long hair-like legs, feathery antennae, and elongated mouthparts. The life cycle consists of the egg, larva, pupa, and adult. Eggs are laid on the water surface; they hatch into motile larvae which feed on aquatic algae and organic material. A female of most species has tube-like mouthparts (called a proboscis) which can pierce the skin of a host. The saliva of the mosquito-transmitted to the host with the bite can cause itching and a rash. In addition, many species of mosquitoes inject or ingest (or both) disease-causing organisms with the bite and are thus vectors of diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, Chikungunya, West Nile virus, dengue fever, filariasis, Zika virus and other arboviruses.

The male mosquitos don't bite the hosts but only the female ones do as the blood they suck is utilized or is needed to provide nourishment to their eggs and in order to get the blood the female mosquitos hunt for the hosts and get the blood which eventually is the causes of many deaths and itself getting the tag of being the most deadliest animal of the world !
