Walking around the zoos - Zoo of Rivne - Ukraine - Cameroon sheep

Greetings, dear friends! I invite you to join my walk through the zoological park of the city of Rivne, Ukraine. This vast territory of the animal kingdom will decorate your day.

I want to share with you my impressions of meeting this wonderful zoo and its inhabitants. There are a lot of impressions. Every year we try to get into this zoo.

People often have sympathy and vice versa, dislikes for some species of animals. Perhaps, after this journey, you will change your opinion about certain types of creatures from the animal kingdom.

I will not give bare encyclopedic data. All this you can read on the Internet. Those feelings that I experienced when meeting with animals, associations, that's what makes me go further. This is something that cannot be read, this is something that needs to be experienced, felt by each cell of the spinal cord.

Our journey began ten days ago, today, the eleventh day. On the links that I gave below, you can get acquainted with such inhabitants of the zoo as pelicans, meerkats and the black-and-white rough lemur, African tortoise, horses and ponies, porcupines, nasua, tapir, capybara,lama-alpaca and Siberian tiger.

After exploring the Siberian tiger, we went to visit other guests from Africa, these are lovers of mountain slopes, fluffy Cameroon sheep.

After the meeting with the tigers, we proceeded further along the avenue and turned into a shady street, where the sheep bleating could be heard. Many visitors gathered there. Many laughed loudly, the sheep answered them. It was really funny. Many sheep gathered near the fence and begged. But, one adult ram stood under a tree and watched the scene. Apparently he was the leader of the herd.

I lived in Moldova for many years, sheep breeding there is widely developed. Thousands of sheep graze in the hills of Moldova. Wool, fur, meat, milk, more precisely sheep's cheese -brynza. These are all the advantages of keeping this animal. Also, they are very sociable and funny. But, in a large flock you will not see the individual qualities of an individual sheep.

It is very wise to keep sheep in Africa, they eat dry grass, they drink little, they destroy poisonous insects with grass. They destroy everything that will sit in the grass, or on the grass. Scorpions and poisonous spiders have developed a reflex. They are very afraid of sheep. This knowledge is used by shepherds and night travelers, if they are in places where there are many poisonous insects and snakes. A thread made from sheep's wool, if you lay it on the ground and draw a circle around the camp, no uninvited guest crosses this thread. You will be safe.

Sheep are defenseless, they are a symbol of defenselessness, but, as you can see. There are those who fear these lovely creatures.

Sheep wool is so dense that, in ancient times, it helped the miners to wash the gold-bearing sand. Remember the myth of ancient Greece about the golden rune? The hides acquired the color of gold from fine golden sand.

These sheep shouted so loudly that they were ready to eclipse the funny videos from YouTube. They greatly raised our spirits. The children laughed and mimicked the sheep for a long time.

The lord of the flock did not leave his post for a single minute.

In Moldova, I tried a lot of sheep milk cheeses, soft, hard, young and aged. With a strong specific smell and without it. All this is very tasty. I wonder what cheeses are made in Africa.

This question arose in my head then, but I could not get an answer, we needed to go further.

We saw the Cameroon sheep, we are going to move on, many more interesting things await us. To be continued.

The zoo is located at the exit from the city of Rivne towards Kiev. The street is called Kiev.

Tickets at affordable prices, a children's ticket costs a little more than one US dollar, for adults, tickets cost about two dollars.
