The fire salamander
Salamander's skin is black with striped or colored spots from yellow to orange. The mark on the back is different for each animal, this being a means of warning about dangers and defending against predators. The name of the species is due to the superstition that the salamander, through the toxic secretions of the skin, would extinguish the fire.
