Every evening my neighbour would round up his cows in the fields and walk them home for the night rest.

This year he is doing very well as he has several more cows and calves than last year. Luckily, there are fields with overgrown grasses along the road in front of my house. So, he would take his cows to these fields about seven o’ clock in the morning. About five o’ clock in the evening these cows could be seen marching along this road to their shed next door.

I have to make sure that I close the front gate in the evening as these cows would come in and start eating all my plants. Sometimes the young calf would come in for a look around the garden. My neighbour has to be very quick in herding all the cows towards their home. But they often stop to eat grass along the fence. Some cows are just as curious as small children. I find them very friendly but some can be very naughty. Sometimes a young cow would try to sniff my camera and come very close to me. My neighbour has to make sure thay they are all back in their shed before the sunset.

ตอนเย็นประมาณห้าโมงเย็น เจ้าของวัวจะไปต้อนวัวกลับบ้าน เราต้องคอยปิดประตูหน้าบ้านเวลาที่วัวเดินผ่านไปมา เพราะถ้าเผลอปล่อยให้วัวเข้ามาในสวน วัวจะกินต้นไม้และดอกไม้ในสวนเกลี้ยงแน่นอน บางครั้งประตูเหล็กเสีย ลูกวัวที่อยากรู้อยากเห็นได้เดินเข้ามาในสวน ทำให้เจ้าของต้องรีบมาไล่มันออกไปเข้ากลุ่มเหมือนเดิม เราพยายามถ่ายรูปฝูงวัว แต่มันเดินเร็วมาก วัวพวกนี้ค่อนข้างเป็นมิตรกับเราและต่อนข้างใจดี แต่ลูกวัวบางตัวซนมาก มันเดินเข้ามาดมกล้องและมาใกล้มาก เจ้าของต้องรีบมาต้อนลูกวัวให้เข้ากลุ่ม เขาต้องต้อนวัวกลับเข้าคอกวัวก่อนพระอาทิตย์ตก ชีวิตชาวบ้านที่นี่ยังอยู่กันแบบเรียบง่าย. เขายังสามารถหาเลี้ยงชีพอย่างสมถะ และใช้ชีวิตแบบพอเพียงอย่างมีความสุข
