Animalphotography - Cão de Fila de São Miguel (PT)
The Cão de Fila de São Miguel (PT) is a Portuguese canine breed, native of the São Miguel Island, a breed of rustic characteristics of medium size, endowed with great intelligence, very independent with a great physical power, it still's today following the secular tradition of and in its island of origin, used for the guard and guide of dairy cattle.
Until recently, both the tip of the ears and most of the tail were cut a few months after the animals were born. However, with the new legislation on animal protection, this tradition has been banned.

Yes, very brave and very strong. Concerning tradition, I even have curiosity that I will try to discover the answer to it, not only to be able to answer you, but also by my own curiosity. I am only aware of this tradition through the information passed on by my ancestors that I saw continued until very recently.
