Spidey Sense • Animal Photography

Can you guess where this fella lives? Well if you spotted the desert camouflage then you guessed it right. Climbing up a sand dune, I almost stepped right into his web strung between two thorn bushes. That would have put him right in the middle of my lower leg. Now I don't know if he was poisonous or not but I'm glad that I didn't disturb him. I just stopped to take some pictures and headed up another path.

Even his shadow is intimidating... can you make it out in the sand?

I photographed the spider with my Canon 5D camera and 70-200 mm lens.
