Animal Photography - Buffalo
Happy Monday! My entry to #animalphotography sponsored by @juliank.
Buffalo
Restful day for the buffalo.
One buffalo rolling in the dirt, happy to be alive on the start of spring..
Buffaloland is not far from my house. I often stop if I see them out in the field beside the road.

Waah, do they chase you when you run? I haven't seen one in real life.
If there are young ones they are very protective. I have seen the buffalo try to horn people standing by the fence but they have never done this to me.
Waah, I'm a poor runner so I better keep my distance. They have a very strong aura.

How nice it is to see buffalo like this! They are such a symbol of great history !
There’s not many left so it’s nice to have them protected here.
What magnificent and beautiful creatures . Thanks for sharing @redheadpei

Whooh Buffalo that is quite a sight. Here we only have cows and water buffaloes here and never seen a buffalo. Is it a farm of some sort?
It is a park called Buffaloland. About 100 Acres. The original 2 buffalo were a gift to the Prince Edward Island government from the Province of Alberta in 1973. From those two a herd has developed. The park is open all year and admission is free.
A herd from just a pair they really did a good job. Wish I could see them.
What an awesome selection of shots there I always find Buffalo so interesting to see
Thanks Tattoodjay. I never tire of looking at them.
I can truly understand that :)
Beautiful photos! The first time I ever saw a buffalo I was struck by its size.
Thanks @lymepoet. They are massive. I love their chin whiskers and tuffs near the hoofs.
