That is incredible the way that thing s-coils itself up so high. All the snakes I've seen here in the U.S. simply coil in a circle and only s-curve mostly backwards. That is some spooky stuff to see it up so high like that. Here, if you wear some knee high snake boots, you're generally considered safe, even around the big 4ft or larger rattlers. That is just crazy to see it high enough for thigh bites (or worse!).

It's a freaky thing to be sure but like I said, some common sense and it's all good. You'd not see one in the cities generally...But then the best part of Australia isn't the cities so one needs to get out and about to get the true feel of Australia.
