Why do cats rub their bodies against their owners' legs?

If you have a cat at your home, you might have noticed that sometimes she will rub her body against your legs. By doing so, she transfers her scent to your body. She marks you as a member of her family.

This behavior is particularly noticed when the owner returns after a long time. The cat is trying to show her affection toward you and tell you that she is happy to see you.

It seems they also expect the same affectionate behavior from you. They want you to caress them.

So, the next time your cat rubs against your legs, just lift and caress her to show her how much you love her.
