Seriously, I never thought of it like this! You made a very informative comparison between the two. I really never thought about it the way you did. And you have given me some enlightenment. Although I just watch whatever movie/anime I like, your words are true. Both Western animation and Japanese Anime have respected areas they exceed. But one thing I love about these animations is they bring values and lessons to all viewers alike.
