Newsweek writer Arvind Dilawar faces felony robbery charge for assault on woman
According to public court records, Arvind Dilawar of Newsweek is facing felony robbery charges resulting from an attack on a woman. Dilawar has been charged with robbery in the second degree, with the enhancement that the robbery resulted in physical injury. He next court appearance is schedule for March 13, 2018 in New York Criminal Court.
Although the Post and Daily News covered the arrest, the Twitter outrage mob has refused to comment on it, because "verified liberals" on Twitter endorse violence against Trump supporters. The NY Post reported:
Police said one of them ripped Valle’s phone out of a woman’s hand as she was filming the political agitator and ran off with it.
Police later arrested the phone thief, identified as Brooklyn resident Arvind Dilawar, 30. He was charged with robbery and possession of stolen property.
A search of publicly available criminal records show Dilawar faces serious charges, including a felony charge:
Police identified the 30-year-old culprit as Arvind Dilawar, of Bushwick. He grabbed the phone from a woman, police said, who was seen in video following the flag-carrying firebrand into the thick of the protest.
Dilawar, a top writer for Newsweek, published an article recently at The Nation.
Newsweek has yet to disavow Dilawar, and The Nation continues to publish his work.
They're really giving us a good clear example of the kind of people they want cramming information down our throats, and I don't like it.
