This doesn't surprise me one bit. And these are good and successful people, educated people. Obviously critical thinking wasn't something they learned because they did what they were told, and critical thinking usually leads you to want to do things differently than the way they tell you to. They've had their true mental capacities suppressed their entire lives. Well, we all have, but some more than others.
I think part of the problem is that kids are no longer being taught the constitution in school. I remember in high school we had to take an entire semester on the constitution. History is also lacking (to put it mildly). I recently purchased a high school American history book and, wow is it a brief summary. Two pages per event.
If these kids realized what really went on during the break from the King and why the founding fathers gave us the right to bear arms, they would think differently.
This whole thing was planned. I believe that young man was a patsy. The failure on the part of the FBI, police and guardians are to blame, that is if Cruz even pulled the trigger? If Hillary would have won the election this event was her gun grab executive order and if we protested Obama had the marshall law thing set in place for her.
Those who don't know the past are destine to repeat it.
I think gun enthusiasts and the NRA need to do a better job on explaining why the second amendmant is crucial; and that gun safety and responsibility plays a giant role on cutting unnecessary gun carnage. "It's my right," is no longer a good enough answer to their questions. We must fully explain to them the consequences of total gun confiscation. Today it is the AR-15, tommorrow it is the handgun; until we are left with sticks and stones.
I think we all know that prohibition does not and will never work. Only the criminals would have the weapons, leaving good well intention people to be armless; or at least with a knife. But we all know you never bring a knife to a gun fight.
I am shocked at the level of ignorance here. I do not even know what to say right now. I'll have to watch it again...this time with my jaw closed. FATHER, please help us!
Time to bury Paul for good. From what I can tell his best friend who he lost from gun violence didn't like him too much and he was yet another socialist.
