In the above case your delegation gets used by the community bot.
You are delegating Steem Power.
The Steem is still in your account, all a delegation does is let the bot use the delegated Steem Power when voting.
So you do not lose any Steem at all and you can undelegate whenever you chose to do so. (note when undelegating it takes 7 calendar days to have the SP listed in your account, yet it gets taken from the bot immediately).
Your delegation here helps reward all users via higher $value upvotes.
Basically, if enough people delegate SP to this bot, to get it up to a whale value in SP, we have ourselves a whale voting on our post!
