It used to be happy times- the monsoon season. Rain, everything turns green and the ...
... cool weather. There was nothing to scare except for the rain-theives who exploited the Power shutdown during the heavy rains.
But last year, it all changed. The rain didn't stop, not just that it didn't stop, it brought more water than usual. There was a great flood that drowned the entire state of Kerala. It got spread out to the nearby Kudagu in Karnataka too. The landslides from there was devastating to even watch on screen.
But then, it all passed. And when 2019 monsoon started, it was all pleasant. It was all happy times again. Temperature can down and cool breeze and the good times.
Then, it got worse. But this time, many more regions. Phone calls from my friends in Mumbai was all about that. Then there was Assam, and many other regions under water.
I stay away from the news channels mostly not to get disturbed. Then somehow, some social media started to alert on the flood and landslides. It was, again, scary!
I don't know if it is too late to even start thinking about the climate change and it's consequences. But, for sure it is something that is haunting and watching the colours of alert for my hometown and places near change is very stressful.
No, there is no conclusion to this. But it is high time that we listen to the nature I guess.
